I was laid off from my full time job June 13th, 2024. This month, two years later, my journey In unemployed land finally comes to A close. I’m happy to announce I finished my pre-licensing requirements to sell insurance; I’ll start at State Farm this month! Making the decision to exit marketing full time was a hard decision. While I will still keep freelancing—because, let’s face it, debts have to be paid—I will be slowly moving away from the industry. (I’ll speak more on this but subscribe to my Substack for that.) What I will say, is that all of this has felt surreal. Some things to celebrate this new chapter: 🍾 My nails and hair are done. 🍾 Mike has been showering me in attention and love. 🍾 I spend time with friends. 🍾 I planned more time with friends and family. 🍾 I’m reading way too much manga and digital comments. I’m glad the journey is entering a new chapter. Thank you to everyone: those who sent me job openings, acted as referrals, helped me continue my education, connected me, or simply encouraged me. 🥂Cheers! Here’s some photos of life this spring.
